What is Trade Credit Insurance?

This page focuses on the product of Trade Credit Insurance, also known as Credit Insurance, Accounts Receivable Insurance or Bad Debt Insurance. Simply this product is used by companies for protection from customers not paying them, either because of a temporary cash flow problem, bankruptcy or outright disregard of debts owed. The purpose is to share information from the perspective of someone with 15 years of experience in the industry.  My name is Eric Voegtle and I started my career in Commercial Banking,  then moving to Trade Credit Insurance in 1997 as an Underwriter for Euler Hermes ACI in Baltimore, MD. From there I moved to the Northeast as an Agent and Account Manager for Euler. In 2006 I began my career as an independent broker with One Source Risk Management and Funding and since that time I have dedicated myself to my clients best interest when it comes to Trade Credit Insurance and other products designed to protect and optimize a companies accounts receivable.  My specialty comes from my analytical training in financial analysis, credit risk underwriting and experience with a diverse group of companies as customers.

I hope you find this page helpful in understanding the nuances of a relatively unknown and underutilized industry.
